Convert all "e.g." to "for example" in the documentation

Based on this comment , I think it is not a bad idea to clean up the documentation and change every e.g. to for example to avoid docs style guide infringement.

I would be happy to create a quick PR for this.

Such sweeping changes have been proposed before and rejected as they would be difficult to review and cause too much churn.
