Optional features with pymanager

Does pymanager allow you to configure optional features like the standalone installer does? Since it has become the preferred way to install Python.

For example, if I don't want to install documentation, tck/tk, turtle and idle.

Not really, but there are some high level options available:

• installing PythonEmbed\3.14 instead of just 3.14 will get the bare minimum runtime (doesn't even include pip or venv)
• installing 3.14 gets the equivalent of the first three checkboxes shown in your screenshot (the launcher is already present)
• installing PythonTest\3.14 gets the test suite as well

The next thing I'd want to leave out is the docs, as those roughly double the size of the package (and I expect most people are happy with the online ones). But we really haven't seen a lot of demand for omitting the other items in a normal install, and the logic to leave them out and keep them left out is pretty fragile. So for the sake of reliability (at the cost of download size/time), they're just always present.

But I'll take this question as a vote for being able to leave them out. Will just have to see whether there are a lot of votes for it.
