🏆 How Would the Nominee Contribute as an Ambassador?
1. Knowledge-Sharing & Content Creation
On YouTube, I explain PyTorch’s NN modules using pen and paper in a step-by-step manner. I am passionate about assisting other researchers and beginners in the field of ML by producing detailed videos on popular NN architectures, where I break down difficult concepts. I aim to enhance the tool’s documentation, where each function has a corresponding video. This project is still ongoing, and I have so far covered all the major modules, including the ones used in implementing generative models. My next aim is to cover PyTorch’s reinforcement learning modules.
2. Hosting Workshops & Events
I plan to organise PyTorch-focused workshops at universities in Nigeria and Turkey. These events will be hands-on and free, tailored for students and developers with limited access to formal AI education. I will also collaborate with local AI clubs to introduce PyTorch as a teaching tool in academic curricula.
3. Promoting PyTorch Through Real-World Impact (Berry App)
To help the PyTorch Ambassador initiative thrive, I lead by example through my mobile health application, Berry, which is built with PyTorch at its core. Berry empowers users in underresourced regions by offering AI-driven, personalised health recommendations using locally available data. By deploying PyTorch in a real-world product that’s already being used by individuals in Nigeria, I am directly showcasing how PyTorch can drive meaningful change beyond research labs. I also plan to use Berry in workshops and tutorials to demonstrate applied ML with PyTorch and share the project openly to inspire others in similar communities. This not only expands PyTorch’s visibility but helps position it as the go-to tool for impactful, accessible machine learning worldwide.Any additional details you'd like to share?
