Detect HGT in Vertebrates with NR database #144

Dear Qiyunlab,
Thank you for developing such an excellent and convenient tool. It has been very useful for my work. However, I encountered an issue when I downloaded the database hgtdb_20230102.tar.xz and ran the basic workflow with my test protein sequence. I noticed that the database does not contain eukaryotic data, including vertebrate sequences.
If I understand correctly, the tool is primarily designed to detect HGT events among microbiota, right? If I want to detect HGT events in a vertebrate species, would it be more appropriate to download the NR database, since it includes sequences from a wide variety of species?
I would greatly appreciate your assistance if you are available.
