- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
- In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir until smooth.
- If desired, stir in the chocolate chips.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes, or until the cake has risen and is set but still slightly gooey in the center.
- Let the mug cake cool for a minute before enjoying straight from the mug.
