Show .squiggle preview in VSCode

I'm struggling to get Squiggle running in VSCode on my M1 Pro MBP running MacOS 13.1
I installed the extension but the preview button mentioned in the docs is not appearing when opening a .squiggle file containing, e.g., normal(4,2).
Am I missing something very obvious?

Not sure what went wrong.

Is the file type detected as Squiggle? (You should see this in the status bar on the right.

Is the command available through command pallette?

Oh! I always searched for "squiggle", never ">squiggle". Yes, I can open the preview using the command pallette. Thanks!
