WG - Panache.Next

@FroMage has written a nice blog post introducing the vision for the next iteration: Hibernate Panache.Next

WG - Java 25 support

In the last month, the WG improved the robustness of Surefire/Failsafe configurations for Java 25 and addressed warnings related to Unsafe. The group also transitioned to using Mandrel 25.0 as the default native image builder and upgraded to Apache Maven 3.9.12. Concurrently, multiple new issues were opened focusing on project generation and compatibility.

WG - Quarkus 4

The group successfully closed multiple issues, including the migration of Hibernate Reactive to Vert.x 5 and addressing concerns related to service startup during the augmentation phase. New issues focus on JPMS support, raising the minimum Java version to 21, and extensive upgrades to Vert.x 5. Additionally, efforts to improve tooling and support for quantum-safe technologies were initiated.

WG - Agentic Foundation and LangChain4j Next

The WG successfully closed issues that relaxed the requirement for ToolInputGuardrail and ToolOutputGuardrail to be CDI beans, enhancing flexibility. New issues were opened focusing on improving the Javadoc for these guardrails and refining the CDI bean requirements.

WG - Test classloading

Significant progress was made by closing multiple issues related to classloading in Quarkus tests, including challenges with QuarkusUnitTest, @TempDir functionality, and CDI bean accessibility in Pact callbacks.
