Installing quarto-cli package is incredibly slow

I am on Windows and using uv for package management. Running the following:

uv add quarto-cli

takes about 10 minutes - way way longer than any other package I install. I don't know if it's building from source or something? Is this expected? Is there a way to improve this?

This happened the first time I tried uv add quarto-cli on Windows. However, every subsequent try was fast 🤷 .

(👋!) Unfortunately, that's the part that users are reporting is slow. But you're right, maybe what we should be doing is just recommending everyone to use uv because it's awesome anyway.
