Quarto speed with typst

As much as I love Quarto I don't find a way to improve the rendering speed.
Typst support in Quarto is realy great but I find myself editing more and more directly in Typst .typ format avoiding my beloved Quarto.
Is ther a way to increase the previewing speed of Quarto document to obtain something comparbale to Typst ?

No, that won't be the case in the foreseeable future.

Sorry for this naive question, is it because of the Pandoc loop to do the file format conversion ?
