file not found errors suddenly appearing in established site on render or publish

Description

My site www.iktkservices3.com has been in use for well over a year and is updated weekly with new content. Just today I have started getting a 'file not found' error when I try to render or publish the site. If I look at the file and make some change then the error reappears in a new file. A sample of the error output is:

That particular file does exist in the posts directory.

Never mind. The issue seems to be that some input files had both a .qmd and a .md version. For some reason this is now a problem but in any case its on me to only have one version and that is now the case.
