Will quarto add support for authoring/writing documents in Djot (https://djot.net/) markup in the future?

Djot was developed by the creator of Pandoc and Commonmark. Designed to be easier to parse, eliminating edge cases: no ambiguities.

I love djot, but we have no plans to support it. Our syntax is already complex and different from Pandoc markdown in important places, and we cannot justify the effort to maintain compatibility with yet a different surface syntax.
