What is the recommended way to install quarto?

I noticed quarto has a python package that can be installed using pip install quarto-cli. Is the tool that gets installed this way equivalent to installing one of the binary packages at https://quarto.org/docs/get-started/?

Is anything lacking in the python package?

The binary is the same as long as you take it from "official" source (e.g., Quarto CLI on NIX is not build using the tested dependencies).
