Controlling Plotly Figure Heights when Rendering to PDF Format

Description

I have the following code in my Quarto book project. I am conditionally rendering the plot as a PNG image for the PDF output only.

When rendering to HTML, the plots show up as the desired height. However when rendering to PDF, the plots show up much taller and don't seem to be respecting the height parameter. How to fix the heights for PDF format?
