Description

Hi, I recently wanted to move away from jekkly to quarto and base my academic website on blogging.

• My website: utkuturk.com
• Custom listing template (postcard style): postcard.ejs on GitHub.
  • Instead of the default Quarto list/grid layout, I designed a “postcard” style layout.
  • Each item includes the title, date, tags, and description in a card-like box.
  • The template uses its own CSS rules (colors, borders, hover effects), so the listing looks more like a blog feed than a table of posts.
  • I’m not sure if embedding so much CSS directly into the .ejs template is best practice, so I’d love feedback.
• Main stylesheet: styles.css on GitHub.
  • Additional customizations include reshaping the navbar into a “floating pill” design and renaming the categories list.
  • I couldn’t find much documentation on these kinds of tweaks, so I improvised with raw CSS.
