Trouble with background video in revealjs #13389
-
DescriptionI want to embed a YouTube video in the background of my revealjs presentation.
So I replaced the video code (wo9vZccmqwc) of the example with my own video (0xpr7In5c9M) and tried that. But didn't work. I tried with the full URL from YouTube, but I can't make it work. What am I doing wrong? This is a simple example (please use any video from your PC in the last slide; it didn't feel justifiable to create a repository only to share a random video). ---
title: "Minimum reproducible example"
format: revealjs
---
## As instructed in documentation {background-video="https://youtu.be/0xpr7In5c9M?autoplay=1"}
[This doesn't work (remote video, link as in [documentation](https://quarto.org/docs/authoring/videos.html#backgrounds))]{.mark}
## Copy-pasting the URL {background-video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xpr7In5c9M"}
[This also doesn't work (remote video, copy-pasting the URL)]{.mark}
## A video file in my PC {background-video="media/videos/m2-res_480p.mp4"}
[This works (local video)]{.mark}

This is a documentation issue as Youtube provider is actually not supported, see: This features comes from Reveal.js directly: https://revealjs.com/backgrounds/#video-backgrounds |
