I was writing up some notes on a chapter I was reading in visual mode. Here is what I wanted to say:
Looking at Chapter 9 from Orme's book (Getting Started With Conjoint Analysis), it seems like what he is proposing is the following (p. 88):
1. Conduct a market simulation for product $A$ and figure out the equilibrium preference share ($x$%);
2. Holding competition constant, run another simulation with the new product feature added to product $A$ and record the new preference share ($y$ %);
3. Conduct additional simulations, raising the price each time, until the preference share drops from $y$ % to the original $x$ %;
4. The difference between the price in the final simulation and the first simulation represents the value of the new feature.
It looked fine, but then I switched over to source mode and I got this:
