Why are my sidebar and categories collapsed by default?

My sidebar and categories are collapsed by default, and I can't figure out how to un-collapse them. I don't know what I changed. I had turned on "reader-mode", which may have enabled this, but I've since disabled reader mode. (not sure that's the problem). I've tried "collapse: false" and that doesn't solve anything.

Do you have a repository? It would be easier than to work on partial pieces.

My first guess is subtitle: Data scientist | tech | father.
| has a meaning in yaml, you should enclose the whole value inside quotes.
