Document Listing Page customize the link for grid pages.

I am using the document listing page with the type: grid. Is there way to modify the grid template so that instead of linking to the index.qmd file for that respective page it could link elsewhere?

I tried out the custom listing page gallery example, but I like the look of the grid option better. I simple want to be able to add an href = in the index.qmd file and so on the gallery it would take you to the href link opposed to the index.qmd file. I tried looking in the CLI source to see if I could find the .ejs file for the built-in grid template. I thought I could just copy that maybe overwrite the part where it creates the link.

Thoughts on the easiest way to accomplish this? I basically went the exact some grid type document listing page but the ability to change where each page links to in the grid.
