HTML output: is there a way to style only one field of a pandas dataframe?

Hi,
if I use set_table_styles

```{python}
#| echo: false
#| warning: false

import pandas as pd

df = pd.DataFrame({'text': ['foo', 'bar'],'number': [1, 2]})

dfStyler = df.style.set_properties(**{'text-align': 'center'})
dfStyler.set_table_styles([dict(selector='th', props=[('text-align', 'center')])])
```

I have in the notebook the style applied

If I run it in quarto, styling is managed by bootstrap, and I have the default left align

But I can apply some style in this way:

df.style.hide_index().set_table_attributes("class='dataframe table-hover text-center'")

to have

But how to apply in example right align only for the number column?

If I set it in this way:

df.style.set_properties(subset=["number"], **{'text-align': 'right'})

it works in the notebook, but quarto style forces number column to align to the left

Hi @cscheid forgive me for coming back here, but there is something I don't understand in what you write.
Why do you say it's a pandas problem?

In pandas if I set this

import pandas as pd

df = pd.DataFrame({'text': ['foo', 'bar'],'number': [1, 2]})

df.style.set_properties(subset=["number"], **{'text-align': 'right'})

I'm able to format only one column and align it to the right, in my jupyter notebook

If I render it in HTML via quarto I have all aligned to the left.
Then it seems to me a quarto question.

It wasn't clear at first reading that you had output which works on jupyter but not on quarto. Let me investigate right away.
