Support for News page

My favorite newsletter site paper.li is going out of business and I need to find a substitute for my news site Statistical Thinking News at https://paper.li/stn . On my Quarto-based blog https://fharrell.com I have sections for Posts, Talks, Courses, etc. and would like to add a Quarto-run News section. Does Quarto have features that would help with this? What I would like to have is an ever-growing reverse-chronologically-ordered news page maintained as a single .qmd file where I can put URLs to news items, short comments, and have Quarto automatically display previews of the linked-to pages. For links to Tweets I'd like to have the original tweet appear, with any links contained in it working as live links. If there are any other features or examples of people using Quarto for this I'd appreciate getting links to them.
