[FR] Differently formatted dates at different locations?

Currently, it looks like the date is formatted by quarto, and then the pandoc variable date is set accordingly. Thus, using $date$ in any template renders the formatted date.

While I don't know how this would be implemented, is it possible to use multiple formats at different locations in the template?
