PhD Thesis Templates Section in Gallery and Reference

I have recently gone through the process of putting together a PhD Thesis template with Quarto https://github.com/james-d-h/quarto-phd-thesis. Quarto should include a Thesis or Dissertation template section in Quarto Guides, Extensions and Gallery: these documents are the point most research students start (and then continue) using Overleaf/Latex; its inclusion will provide early Quarto exposure for academics and scientists.

While other template/guide sections like 'books' and 'academic journals' were useful in creating a template for my University, they fall short on several Dissertation/Thesis specific format criteria including:

1. Custom front matter pages such as declarations, acknowledgements, Glossaries.
2. Roman page numbers in front matter and a
3. TOC/LOT/LOF/ Glossary section after this front matter.
4. Help students or Academic institutions convert their existing Overleaf or Latex templates to Quarto templates. The hurdle to do so is too large with current guidance bearing in mind students at this career point probably do not know latex.
