Numbers disappear while typing in a numbered list in Quarto (Safari only) #822

This is a visual editor issue that manifests in RStudio Server and RStudio Pro (Workbench) when using certain versions of Safari. Please see rstudio/rstudio#16388.
Steps to reproduce
rstudio/rstudio#16388 has details. Be sure to type longer strings after each bullet or number (20+ characters, give-or-take).
I was able to repro today in Safari 26.0.1 on macOS 15.6.1.
Actual behavior
Bullets / numbers sometimes vanish and reappear as you are typing.
Expected behavior
No magic tricks from bullets or numbers.
