I agree webR builds would be useful. I wonder if p3m has plans to host them for the repositories it archives. If so and if our collaboration with the p3m team goes well, then this might happen without direct intervention from R-multiverse. |

And right now, the Community universe already builds webR binaries. For Production, this seems like a long-term thing. I don't think we currently have plans to put webR binaries in our own self-hosted non-p3m Production snapshot, but we may at some point. I will convert this issue to a discussion. |

#150 might give us the opportunity to host more kinds of binaries, including WASM and Linux. I would first like to understand how well the current system performs at scale, and also secure sponsorship to avoid paying for large storage fees in Cloudflare R2. |

There has been a growing interest in webR over the last few years, and I believe there have been attempts to create reproducible environments in using webR.
Since CRAN does not support webR, it would be great if R-multiverse would archive packages for webR (for clarification, the repositories on R-universe work for webR, but only keep the latest versions).
