From Colin Gillespie (Jumping Rivers) at R Dev Day at Imperial.

They have developed diffify, which is used on R-weekly. They will roll out an update that does diffs of dev versions vs the last release from a Github action hook. They also plan to open up an API.

Could be linked in to R-universe.

May form part of our maintainer 'best-practice' toolkit.

Interesting tool. Still think it would be useful for R-multiverse? The infrastructure doesn't use it, and given the number of package dev guides that exist, I'm not sure R-multiverse needs one of its own.

Yeah, this does not need to be core to R-Multiverse. I think it's a useful tool for users of a package to quickly pinpoint API changes in general and I display a badge on my own package websites. But yes, there is no direct tie-in to a repository, so happy to close this for now. We know it exists anyway in case it ever becomes relevant again.
