how to refer equation in component properties?

Hi, I just came here from legacy qucs.

I want to create equation to calc component value e.g. resistance of an resistor.
I created eq like:
r=100
Now when I try to type r as a resistor value I'm getting simulator error.
What am I doing wrong?

Please read this chapter of the documentation: https://qucs-s-help.readthedocs.io/en/latest/overview/equations-and-parameters/index.html It explains how to use the equations. If the error still appear please post the screenshot of the schematic. It helps understand what you are trying to do.
