Static information flowing through each forms

The following code fails to compile:

class A(a :: Int)

class B(elts:: List.of(Pair.of(Int, A)))

fun helper(b :: B):
  for:
    each Pair(id, a): b.elts
    println(a.a)


helper(B([Pair(1, A(10))]))

with the error:

a: no such field or method (based on static information)
;   in: a

Intuitively, as a Rhombus user, this was surprising.

This was surprising to me as a user because I had previously seen the following works:

class A(x :: Integral)

fun helper(ls :: List.of(A)):
  for:
    each elt: ls
    println(elt.x)

So I assumed that List.of was somehow cooperating with each to propagate information
