Just installed and tested rtorrent, I can download but not seeing any upload, is this normal ?

Hi,
I've installed rTorrent 0.9.7/0.13.7 , I downloaded about 30G of data, but after several hours there is still "Uploaded: 0.0 MB" on all trackers.
Could it be a problem with my configuration file, or a port that needs to be opened in iptables ?
I used this configuration template, just changed the basedir : https://github.com/rakshasa/rtorrent/wiki/CONFIG-Template

Forget it, it seems I had to wait more, I got a bit of uploaded data (not much), so it's working.
