Downloads over a certain size failing #16
Description
During testing of the electra database upgrade, Chris was testing he could download data he had recalled but was unable to download the data as the download kept failing. He tried this again a week later and the same was happening. I can see the problem in the logs where the problem shows as a "Connection closed" exception. Strangely there doesn't appear to be much of a pattern. Some downloads fail after about 10 seconds and others can run for over 5 minutes before failing.
I need to have a better look in the logs to see how widespread this might be. Does it happen when downloading on site? Does it happen for other people downloading at home, or is it perhaps unique to Chris' setup?
Chris and I are pretty sure we have seen this problem before but I don't remember investigating or resolving it.
