At least for Linux based OS, I would find useful for entry/old computers to have an optional way to run Rancher Desktop on the host OS without relying of a guest VM.

Something like https://docs.rancherdesktop.io/how-to-guides/create-multi-node-cluster/, but Rancher Desktop GUI and CLI will be able to manage that cluster created by k3d.
