Display the entire app collection without logging in

Description

When users install this extension through rancher desktop it requires them to login. But this doesn't match what people get if they go to apps.rancher.io. To align this could we please change the user experience to be that as if they came directly to apps.rancher.io and they can see the entire catalog and if they are logged in they see more.

The web application/console acts as a content browser, among other things. However, the extension was designed to bring you My applications, what it is available for you according to your subscription.

This is a dilemma when you try to combine community with non-community. If a user could see the breadth of applications w/o a login they might be more inclined to actually login. However, what happens when they find they need a subscription to actually use it?

Showing the collection before you log in makes sense once there is a reasonable level of apps available at the free tier.

Until this happens I don't think it matters much either way, you just have delayed disappointment when you login and find out that you still can't do anything (as already noted by @zoopster above).

FTR. This extension is mainly for SUSE Rancher Prime & SUSE Application Collection customers. Is it an open-source extension? Yes. Both facts are not incompatible.

Is there a Free subscription? Yes. The main purpose of this Free subscription is to play with the product by using a reduced number of applications. For example, Penpot.

Why would you not want to show users what they're missing by not having a subscription? You could add labels like "Requires subscription" or display them greyed out. The point is that we have many thousands of RD users that might be curious about the Application Collection. If they install it, even if they don't have a Prime subscription or an AppCo free tier login, we want to show them what they could get.

Why not visiting the console https://apps.rancher.io/applications? Every user must use the console to manage their profile.
