Description
https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentation/computers/compute-module.html#set-up-the-host-device
- On this online document website, the "macOS" and "Windows" tags cannot be clicked to show corresponding content, but actually the content could be seen in the HTML code. Please fix this website frontend error.
- As for the content itself, when we use CM5 with macOS, if we execute
$ sudo ./rpibootdirectly, this error will appear:
xuhaifeng@XuHaifeng-MBP14 usbboot % sudo ./rpiboot
RPIBOOT: build-date Sep 10 2024 version 20240422~085300 f0657700
Waiting for BCM2835/6/7/2711/2712...

read_file: Failed to read "2712/bootcode5.bin" from "/usr/share/rpiboot/mass-storage-gadget64//bootfiles.bin" - No such file or directory
Failed to open bootcode5.bin
Instead we should use this command:
xuhaifeng@XuHaifeng-MBP14 usbboot % rpiboot -d mass-storage-gadget64
RPIBOOT: build-date Dec 13 2024 version 20240422~085300 62f37dae
If the device fails to connect then please see https://rpltd.co/rpiboot for debugging tips.
