Description
I have been a happy user of BeagleBoot under Ubuntu 18.04. I've just updated my system to Ubuntu 20.04, and BeagleBoot no longer runs. I have tried to re-install, both with the .deb file and re-building with no luck. I have encountered a number of errors which I may or may not have successfully solved. It is all pretty clearly due to dependencies being updated, but I don't know enough about electron apps to make much progress on fixing my problems. The latest issue is:
~/src/BeagleBoot-0.9.0$ npm start
> [email protected] start /home/ben-warrington/src/BeagleBoot-0.9.0
> electron .
(electron:1376281): Pango-ERROR **: 11:32:44.360: Harfbuzz version too old (1.3.1)
About the only advice I can find on googling this is to ask the developer for an update. This is probably not the only remaining problem. I would happily update the project myself, but as I said, I know next to nothing about electron apps. Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.
