First of all, thank you for the translations, but I was wondering, is it possible to make a Turkish translation patch for FGO? If it is possible, I would like to see it done, especially since there are a lot of Turkish players playing FGO. So you can be sure that the translation will be useful for us Turkish players and we will support you when you do it!

By the way, Deepl has Turkish support. But I don't know what you are really doing the translation with, but I wanted to tell you anyway.

I want to see the characterset your language uses, which will determine if the game can support your language.

When I translate the sentence you gave, this is the characterset of Turkish:

Ağaçlar kökünden söküldü, nehirler kurudu, binalar iz bırakmadan havaya uçtu. Onun bağıran sesi kimsenin kulağına ulaşmadan fırtınanın içinde kayboldu. Şu anda bu eşi benzeri görülmemiş felaketi durdurabilecek tek kişinin kendisi olduğunu düşünüyordu.

I can easily gather this many people, don't worry about it, I have contacts and many people around me who are familiar with the project and who will be warm to the project. But what should we do after gathering people, should we contribute to the translation or should we just show our support to prove that it is worth it?

We would need you to gather enough people, and also put together a plan on what you want to translate.

When you have 4 names, we would make an area for you in the Rayshift discord server and give you access to the translation tools.

I would recommend not translating the entire game but focussing on the newer story content (OC1 for example).

A new language always starts with Fuyuki chapter, however after that is up to whoever is leading the translation group to decide what they will translate.

So:

• Find at least 4 people
• Nominate a group leader
• Join Rayshift discord and ping me (Neo) and I can set you up

Then:

• Translate Fuyuki as a test
• Translate the TranslateFGO UI (I will give you a sheet for this)
• Plan what you will translate after

Hmm, I see, so that's what it's really about. I thought you were doing the translation in the first place, but I guess the translation work is done by people from that country based on what you said.

I will try to gather a team, but first we need to understand the difficulty of this translation work. Is it a one-click thing or do we have to translate individual singularities by hand?

Yes, it's manual translation... you have to translate by hand.

You get a google sheet for each chapter you want to translate, then this is automatically pulled into the game.

If your team is small, it might be best to stick to only new content, or content of particular interest to the turkish community. But this is why we require 5+, otherwise efforts can stall really quickly.

So what is the relevance of DeepL and the project?

DeepL is used for instant translations of the Japanese game to English for new events only, however it's really not great. JP->Turkish would be even worse.

I'm examining using OpenAI as well, that might allow other languages, but that's a little ways off.
