Clarification Required: Purpose of audiosink/PlatformCapabilities.aidl vs audiosink/Capabilities.aidl

While reviewing the Audio Sink HAL AIDL interfaces, I noticed that there are two capability definitions:

• PlatformCapabilities.aidl
• audiosink/Capabilities.aidl

From the current implementation and VTS usage:

• getPlatformCapabilities() appears to return platform-level information such as:
  • lowLatency
  • sampleRate
  • mixer PCM format
  • supportsPlanarFormat

could someone please explain the intended architectural separation between these two capability structures?

Specifically:

1. What information is expected to reside in PlatformCapabilities versus Capabilities?
