Codecov in CI GHA fails

Describe the bug
Github actions are reporting code coverage upload to codecov is failing.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. run CI on f8e9814
2. see logs with warnings/errors

Expected behavior

• coverage is uploaded when generated successfully
• coverage meets target thresholds again

🤔 may just be a GHA configuration issue like missing token. ❓
