Description

The original commit landed before branch cut in main and the revert landed after the branch cut.
As a result, we have a commit in the branch for 0.79 that we reverted on main.

The original commit was reverted because it was making some internal test fail and it is causing issues like facebook/react-native#50331.

I verified that picking the backout fixes such issue.
