Interested to buy MS-EN. Just a question beforehand.

Hi @BoboTiG,

fantastic work you’ve done with reader-dict over the past five years 👍.

I’m interested in purchasing the MS–EN dictionary. Before I do, could you show me an example of how translations appear on a Kindle eBook reader?

For instance, with the word menumpukan, does the English entry also include sections like Etymology? Or are example sentences included like for the word kecil?

It might be a great addition to your website if people could enter a sample word and see how the translation would appear in the dictionary. That way, potential customers know exactly what to expect.

Yeah, that's an idea I also have for months. But I do not know how it could be done yet. It's still on my TODO list ;)

Two last questions if I may:
I think about getting your 'All - EN' dictionary for my Kindle (2015 Paperwhite with KOReader installed).

• It still has 2.8GB of free storage. This should be more than enough for the dictionaries, right?
• Does it have any negative impacts on performance if there are so many dictionaries installed?

1. The all-EN StarDict file is ~170 Mo. You will still have plenty of free space.
2. The number of dictionaries should not change anything. On the other hand, a dictionary with so many words might have a performances impact. all-* dictionaries are among the most purchased, and they do work fine.
   Personal opinion: I would go with more specific dictionary since it will be faster to load, and look for words. And, last but not least, it is way easier to propose updates to specific dictionaries since they are smaller, and all-* dictionaries are updated only once a month.
