Introduction

Hello, Read the Docs Community,

I am the author of the @localizethedocs organization, which focuses on manufacturing l10n projects for documentation of open-source projects.

I’m glad to announce that the πŸŽ‰ rtd-user-docs-l10n and rtd-dev-docs-l10n πŸŽ‰ projects are published now:

rtd-user-docs-l10n:

rtd-dev-docs-l10n:

The goal of these two projects are to translate the Read the Docs User/Developer Documentation into multiple languages. Translations are contributed via the Crowdin platform, automatically synchronized with the GitHub repository, and can be previewed on GitHub Pages.

Related Issues

I noticed that there is an issue discussed about RTD documentation translation:

Based on the discussion, it seems that the current infrastructure for translating RTD documentation is based on Transifex, which is now a little bit frustrating and has fallen into disrepair. Besides, some people have suggested replacing Transifex with Weblate or Crowdin.

If RTD does not yet have a solution to its translated documentation infrastructure, I believe the these two l10n projects should be able to meet such needs.
