Error: Invalid hyperlink in the gh-pages branch

Describe the Error

While I was working on issue #683, I found that in the README.md file, specifically in the gh-pages branch under the Contribute Heading, there is the sentence

Contributions are always welcome! Please read the contribution guidelines first.

Linking to contribution guidelines that are non-existent in the branch gh-pages

Expected behavior

The hyperlink on the text contribution guidelines should be a working link, the problem is that the file CONTRIBUTING.md is not present on that branch. My solution is that we add the file CONTRIBUTING.md to the branch gh-pages

Upon further inspection, I didn't even find the CONTRIBUTING.md file in the main branch too, so I would have to create it in the main branch and add it to the gh-pages branch, I would probably mention it in the main REAME.md file too under the contribution steps.
