The name "Recogito Text Annotator" was actually meant as a temporary working title. As always with working titles, it stuck...
IMO it's both a bit bland, and too long.
Also: it's currently under the @recogito namespace. Other @recogito packages are part of Recogito Studio. The text annotator, however, has been evolving into its own suite of sub-backages, which makes things confusing. I'd love to properly organize things, and create a separate package namespace for the text annotator and its PDF annotator companion (which I think should be consolidated into this repo).
The most straightforward name candidates - like text-annotator, textmarker or variations – are already taken as Github orgs and/or npm package names. I was playing with the idea of naming it leuchtmarker (German for highlighter pen). But this may be too weird?
