There are text files with hex strings. What are they and are they important for compiling red eclipse?

like acerspyro, actors, jojo, luckystrike, molexted, snipergoth, vegetation, weapons etc.

Oh, you must be using 1.6 or had it installed before. Those are just used by the updater, they're not in the git repository.
