How can I disable the return line wrapping?

The fact is that I am working on a project with other developers, but their IDEA, where there is no such if return formatting, I tried switching java.format.onType.enabled and other different settings, but nothing helps me.

You can check the following property:

org.eclipse.jdt.core.formatter.keep_then_statement_on_same_line=true

That's because it isn't an option that is controlled through that file. I think we define it and ensure we pass it everywhere we deal with configuring the import statements : https://github.com/eclipse/eclipse.jdt.ls/blob/26d5d9f3ba2581327f46adfcb6d9a1ee8ace2154/org.eclipse.jdt.ls.core/src/org/eclipse/jdt/ls/core/internal/contentassist/TypeProposalUtils.java#L168

We do the same thing for import order, and static import on-demand threshold.
