Symbol lookup sorting

Type: Bug

When doing a Global symbol lookup from a Java project, it would make more sense to show closest match at the top.

This would avoid additional cursor key press to navigate to a listed entry.

Steps

1. Press CTRL + P
2. Type: Go to symbol in workspace
3. Press enter
4. Type: Arrays

This seems very similar to #3670 . Basically, it would be nice to have control over the order, but we don't have any control from the extension. Upstream, the closest I'm aware of is microsoft/vscode#98125 (72 upvotes 😛 ).
