Don’t receive ‘onRedisConnected’ for 1 min 45 seconds

When connecting to the redis cluster, I add a RedisConnectionStateListener to check for onRedisConnected. This callback is called a bunch of times after initially calling connect, but most of them immediately get disconnected. After that, this isn’t called again until 1 minute 45 seconds later. Any idea how I can reduce this time?
