redpanda support for console v3.0.0

What happened?

When attempting to use the 5.10.1 release of the Redpanda helm chart, I found the chart does not use v3.0.0 of console, instead it specifies v2.8.0.

What did you expect to happen?

I was expecting the 5.10.1 to support console v3.0.0, given that both were released last week (7th April for console v3.0.0 and 8th April for 5.10.1).

Q: Can you confirm if console v3.0.0 is supported at this time?

How can we reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible)?. Please include values file.

I would give v25.1.1-beta1 Helm chart a shot. It's still in beta but it will deploy Console v3.0.0 by default. We don't plan to bump 5.10.1 to support 3.0.0 since v3.0 is still relatively new and has a number of breaking changes.

Have you folks changed your versioning scheme? I see that v25.1.1-beta1 is also the latest version of the operator.

I have tried v25.1.1-beta1 though it exhibits other issues that prevent the redpanda StatefulSet from starting.

@IdlePhysicist We just released v25.1.1-beta2 could you try again and see if you have the same issue?

ah, hold that thought. We've cut the release for beta2 of the operator but not for the helm chart. We'll get the updated chart published soon!

Just released beta3 which should include Console 3.1.0 by default: https://github.com/redpanda-data/helm-charts/releases/tag/redpanda-25.1.1-beta3. Will go ahead and close out this issue.
