That would be awesome! we have also several HDDs which we use for large storage and would be really nice to archive data also there!. |

I dont know if this is the right place for a feature request / ideas.
Ive running Redpanda in a Kubernetes cluster with limited SSD Storage, but a lot HDD storage. Tiered Storage only supports S3 compatible storage, but I really would like to have the possibility to just mount 2 volumes to use the SSD storage for the hot data and the HDD storage for the archive data.
Since the tiered storage already used a cache directory after download the files from the S3, in my mind its maybe not to hard to implement a tiered storage options that used a different directory instead of the S3 api.
My current work around is a minio pod with mounted hdd storage, but its feels like the wrong way for doing something like this.
