As of Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the US COVID-19 Forecast Hub no longer accepted new submissions. Information provided on forecast submissions are kept for historical record.
As of November 2024, the US CDC opened a new COVID-19 Forecast Hub repository.
It might be sensible to archive this repository (which would keep it up but make it read-only) (this is in Settings > General > Danger Zone > Archive Repository.
All stars would remain. As far as I can tell, the place of covid19-forecast-hub in GitHub's search algorithm would not change. In search, one would see both of these (using other repositories as examples):
