Unstable feature guidelines

Are there any guidelines for unstable features, such as the new middleware context?

How unstable are they? Is there a timeline for when they will become stable? Just wondering if using these in production is wise, or to wait.

Unstable flags are not recommended for production:

• they will change without warning and without upgrade paths
• they will have bugs
• they aren't documented
• they may be scrapped completely
