It seems like it would be a lot simpler to just implement an onChange handler + a debounce helper and use axios to query /api/check_a_field and get back a JSON list of autocomplete values then trying to implement the example above.
If I understand it, I would need to nest a Fetcher inside a Form and then have my /api/check_a_field endpoint generate a fragment of HTML to render the autocomplete.
I feel like I am missing something as the Fetcher method is a bit more than just a little verbose.
